Doelstelling
WPNL Live gelooft dat onze community volledig open en van ons allemaal dient te zijn. Hiervoor zullen wij er op toezien dat we met z’n allen een vriendelijke, veilige en welkome omgeving neerzetten voor iedereen ongeacht geslacht, geaardheid, beperking, etniciteit, religie, voorkeur in operating system, programmeer taal of text editor.
Middels deze huisregels leggen wij onze verwachtingen voor het gedrag van participanten vast alsmede de consequenties voor onacceptabel gedrag.
We nodigen alle sponsoren, vrijwilligers, sprekers, bezoekers en andere participanten uit om er voor iedereen een veilige en positieve conferentie van te maken.
Verwacht gedrag
Ben respectvol, toon empathie en draag je steentje bij
Ben niet vernederend of discriminerend in je uitspraken of gedrag.
Val niemand lastig.
Let op je omgeving en de overige aanwezigen. Geef de organisatie een sein op het moment dat je een gevaarlijke situatie ziet ontstaan of iemand in nood ziet.
Doe mee op een authentieke en actieve manier. Daarmee draag je actief bij aan WPNL Live.
Onacceptabel Gedrag
Onacceptabel gedrag betreft in dit geval: intimidatie, misbruik, discriminatie, belediging, kleinering of algemeen lastig gedrag door eenieder die aanwezig is op WPNL Live en alle gerelateerde events zoals de after party. In alle locaties van WPNL Live zijn ook mensen aanwezig die niet actief betrokken zijn bij de conferentie; ook hier naar toe is dit gedrag onacceptabel.
Met algemeen lastig gedrag en lastig vallen wordt in dit geval bedoeld; agressieve verbale reacties gerelateerd aan geslacht, geaardheid, ras, religie of beperking; opgepast gebruik van seksueel getinte afbeeldingen in publieke plekken (inclusief presentatieslides); stalking of achtervolgen; het lastig vallen van de fotografen of het videopersoneel; constante verstoring tijdens presentaties of andere evenementen; ongepast fysiek contact en onwelkome seksuele aandacht.
Consequenties van Onacceptabel Gedrag
Onacceptabel gedrag zal niet worden getolereerd door de organisatie, het personeel van de jaarbeurs en het overige aanwezige personeel van de WPNL Live venues.
Iedereen die gevraagd wordt om onacceptabel gedrag te stoppen wordt verwacht hier direct in mee te werken.
De organisatie behoud het recht om actie te ondernemen als zij dit toepasselijk achtten. Dit kan betekenen dat de toegang tot de conferentie ontzegt wordt zonder verder waarschuwing of restitutie.
Wat te doen als er onacceptabel gedrag tegen je wordt gebruikt of als je het ziet
Als er onacceptabel gedrag tegen je wordt gebruikt, je hier toeschouwer van bent of andere zorgen hebt, laat dit dan direct weten aan de organisatie.
Het WPNL Live team zal beschikbaar zijn om je te helpen. Ook kunnen zij lokale beveiliging of de politie inschakelen.
Scope
We verwachten van alle participanten (sponsoren, vrijwilligers, sprekers, aanwezigen en andere gasten) om deze huisregels in acht te nemen in alle venues van WPNL Live en op alle gerelateerde sociale events.

Purpose
WPNL Live believes our community should be truly open for everyone. As such, we are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, religion, preferred operating system, programming language, or text editor.
This code of conduct outlines our expectations for participant behavior as well as the consequences for unacceptable behavior.
We invite all sponsors, volunteers, speakers, attendees, and other participants to help us realize a safe and positive conference experience for everyone.
Open Source Citizenship
A supplemental goal of this code of conduct is to increase open source citizenship by encouraging participants to recognize and strengthen the relationships between what we do and the community at large.
In service of this goal,
WPNL Live organizers will be taking nominations for exemplary citizens throughout the event and will recognize select participants after the conference on the website.
If you see someone who is making an extra effort to ensure our community is welcoming, friendly, and encourages all participants to contribute to the fullest extent, we want to know.
Expected Behavior
Be considerate, respectful, and collaborative.
Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory or harassing behavior and speech.
Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Alert organizers if you notice a dangerous situation or someone in distress.
Participate in an authentic and active way. In doing so, you help to create
WPNL Live and make it your own.
Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behaviors include: intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory or demeaning conduct by any attendees of WPNL Live and related events.
All WPNL Live venues may be shared with members of the public; please be respectful to all patrons of these locations.
Harassment includes: offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability; inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces (including presentation slides); deliberate intimidation, stalking or following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of talks or other events; inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Consequences Of Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated whether by other attendees, organizers, venue staff, sponsors, or other patrons of
WPNL Live venues.
Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately.
If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including expulsion from the conference without warning or refund.
What To Do If You Witness Or Are Subject To Unacceptable Behavior
If you are subject to unacceptable behavior, notice that someone else is being subject to unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please notify a conference organizer as soon as possible.
The WPNL Live team will be available to help participants contact venue security or local law enforcement, to provide escorts, or to otherwise assist those experiencing unacceptable behavior to feel safe for the duration of the conference.
Scope
We expect all participants (sponsors, volunteers, speakers, attendees, and other guests) to abide by this code of conduct at all venues and related social events.
